Paid Family Leave Act Coming to New York

Starting in January 2018, Paid Family Leave (PFL) — one of the most comprehensive family leave programs in the nation — will take effect for New Yorkers. What does that mean? Starting in 2018, anyone working at a private organization with at least one employee will be eligible for paid time off to care for a new child, sick family member, or qualifying military family member while providing job security.
